Definitely "Bah, humbug!!" Was funny when I was in elementary school...our TV station was playing that old story from the 50's today about the "spaghetti trees"on April Fool's Day in the UK...think they would have had beetter things to feature..

Re: April Fools Day

Not keen on the prank side of it but a well thought-out hoax that isn't obviously one and that requires a modicum of thought to see through, I like. The daily rag sometimes manages one of those.

Our local weekly paper did one last year. They printed a front page story and piccies of a Zebra grazing on a roundabout in the centre of the village Have to say it did make me smile and you know the story was ever so convincing

Re: April Fools Day

I think it can be quite funny as long as people don't go OTT. My son plays lead french horn in an orchestra and today the oboe player played the 'tune up' note flat! Also at one point the horn section played a piece a semitone lower than the rest. This was only a rehearsal and luckily the conductor found it quite amusing, if predictable.

Not sure if anyone listens to classic fm? They currently have a cd out called 'music for babies'. Today during the ads they were advertising 'Mozart for fish', 'Beethoven for Sheep' and 'Tchaikovsky for camels'!
