Still snowy Sunday

Well it is snowing here again this morning. And really cold I thought it was going to start to thaw but seems not.

Pamela hope you enjoyed the party and have a great hangover.
Angie how are things going with your MIL? still lots to do? and have you sgined to keep Dora now? Falling in front of the fire is a lovely and perfect thing to do on a snowy afternoon.
Yola a 50ft shark will be a sight to behold. Sledging is actually something I have never done may have to rectify that at some point bet it was great - did you have a go? and is the kitchen demolition coming on well? have you chosen the tiles etc?
Shelley - BOOK THE TICKETS - what are you hoping to see? and sorry to hear about your aunt.
C.S. Glad to see you can see the conductor and choir - I assume they are worth seeing how is the choir going when do you perform next? and what?

And my day ended well although could have been another way Dad had pains in his chest and back and arms, he also had trouble breathing. Took him to the hospital it seems his bloods show a slight infection and he has antibiotics (same as Sal) and steroids for 5 days they put him on oxygen as his oxygen level was below normal in the blood test - but that is normal for him when he is below par. He had blood tests for heart issues a heart tracing and chest xray which showed the same as last time no change to the xray and his tracing was good the blood test results showed no heart attack. Went in at 4.30 out by 8.15 including the above mentioned tests they treated him really well even though he kept saying "don't want to go don't want to be here - can I go home"
I took notes, blood pressure - oxygen levels etc and need to update his record book (ie my diary) and then get a copy from the doctor - got the same for Mom and Dad medcal records and prescription list easier than trying to explain.

So all well at the end of Saturday. Have a great day all.

Re: Still snowy Sunday

Morning Kazz, glad to hear that your Dad has not had a heart attack. Good idea keeping your own records and interesting that he and Sal are on same meds - no worries if you get them mixed up, although if Sal wanted to renew the blade in the hacksaw and your Dad had Sal's lead in his mouth, you may start to wonder.

Snowing here again too. OH is out with the dogs, just gone over the local field. Roads around us are not good, but the main road is clear now. He has to try again to go to Bognor tomorrow to meet the vicar re his mum's funeral, second attempt from last Friday. His brother has dealt with the solicitor. Just hope roads are clearer by Wednesday and we can get the funeral over. There won't be much more to sort out as she had no property.

As predicted, agility training has been cancelled due to the snow. I am a bit concerned about our Monty, he has odd bits of behaviour, so I have ordered the Tellington T-Touch book yesterday to see if there is any advise on how we can deal with it - he can be calm and being lovely one minute and then jumps and starts barking for no reason. He's beginning to act on occasion like a grumpy old man. He is also becoming more stubborn and independent, won't come in from the garden (even when it's really cold). He still plays happily with Dora, but I wonder if he's feeling displaced?

We are having slow cooked venison for supper, so looking forward to that and we'll be making livercake for the dogs too today.

Have a good day folks, keep warm and safe.

Re: Still snowy Sunday

afternoon all.
Had a phone call this morning to say my aunty had passed away last night.
Not unexpected and my cousing made the right decision to keep her at home. The doctor wanted to hospitalise her and put her on a drip. Both felt that the outcome would be the same. I hope she went peacefuly in her bed.
My cousing will now be able to resume their lives.
Angie, hope you manage to get the funeral sorted soon.
Monty probably is playing up a bit because of Dora, just like children realy
Pamela, glad you had a great party
Karen, i'm glad you're dad hadn't had a heart attack and hope he is feeling better soon.
Got some cleaning up to do which is why i'm on here ,lol
then a nice relaxing day hopefuly

Re: Still snowy Sunday

Shelley- sorry to hear about your Aunt.
Kazz, I'm glad your Dad is OK. In answer to your question we're singing Fanshawe's 'African Sanctus' on Feb 16th. It is quite a challenge and goes up high (top C!) but I love singing.

Pamela, hope you got home safe! Velvet- stay away from that sea! Angie, I hope OH manages to sort the funeral out- the waiting for that is difficult isn't it.

We have had a lot of snow today- I tried a long run but was grateful when OH passed me on his way back from getting the papers and gave me a lift home! I managed 8 miles but still had 3 to go and it was getting a bit slippy
