Morning Pamela - Happy Burns Day! Have to admit to having forgotten it is today, with other things happening this week. I don't even think OH has any scotch left for the wee dram - I know a couple of friends that always celebrate Burns Night traditionally even though they are not Scottish. OH's mum's ancestors were Scottish so we shouldn't have forgotten really.

He's out with the doggies over the field this morning. We have the internment of Mum's ashes later this morning. She will be with her dearest Sam again.

Have a good day Catsey folk. Keep warm and safe. I may try and find my copy of Ode to the Haggis later.

Re: happy Robert Burns day Friday

Happy Burns day people.
Well driving in blizzard conditions again today, had another dog walker on the phone earlier moaning about how she cannt get to her dogs, told her to calm down and take her time. She's a right one though, if I say there is a foot of snow where I am, there's three feet of snow where she is. We are all in the same boat, owners and dog walkers alike. No point cancelling them if you can help it, the dogs need to pee and the owners also need to work just as we do.
Anyway thats my wee moan over lol, I am a bit quieter on a friday so I managed to get them all into the van and made it to the field. One canncelled as she lives on a hill and is home anyway.
Keep warm and stay safe every one until the beast from the east leaves us.

snow is still here, the junction after on the motorway has been on the news and they are saying that our area is going to freeze instead of getting rain heres hoping its wrong!! we have a decent covering of snow to the extent that i struggled to park the big car in front of the garage tonight. Skye is going for her boosters tomorrow so hoping its away, if not, the appointment will be getting changed!!

Re: happy Robert Burns day Friday

evening friends and happy Burns day to our Scottish members. Talking of Haggis, i love the veggie version of it, yum,yum !
It has been snowing here today, it started this morning and came down quite heavy around 4 this afternoon, it's rained since and is now very windy so who knows what's going to happen next.
Been to work this morning, then home to have my hair streaked and trimmed, then off to see the nurse for a routine smear test. She turned out to be a close neighbour but fortunately i hadn't met her before and didn't realise until she told me or it could have been very embarrasing. Hopefuly everything will be ok and because of my age i only need to go every 5 years now.
Cosy evening in, hopefuly
Keep warm and safe everyone
