Still sunny Saturday

Hello peeps!

Sorry for my absence this loooong time. The clock has been a cruel master, no me-time at all.

Weather is really nice today. OH gone off to a budgie show all day FRREEEDOM! Just a few chores then off to the shops.

Enjoy the weekend, see you later!

Re: Still sunny Saturday

Morning! Had a long, deep sleep last night, most unlike me, but I feel really groggy and sluggish. Obviously sleep does not agree with me!

It's hazy here but I think there's a real prospect of a lovely sunny day when it clears. I could do with giving the bedrooms a good turn-out, but I don't want to waste a lovely sunny June day, do I?

Hope your weather's good and your plans for today include enjoying it.

Re: Still sunny Saturday

Slight headache this morning but that's more due to last night's wine than anything else I have birthday party duty today with Dominik - indoor wall-climbing and parascending . . . (whatever happened to pass-the-parcel )

Not much else planned really! Might have a late lunch in town as a new latin restaurant has opened by the riverside which sounds quite nice or might mooch out to a country pub.

Weather is brightening from a grey start.

k's friend coming over today to help lift some heavy things, not sure what's on the agenda after that. yesterday was k's last day of work for awhile so prob just errands leading up to wednesday morning (his surgery).

Wow Donna! 17! There's nothing like the ages of your children to make you feel old - or at least to think "How the heck did that happen?"
It's a nice day hers. I've been at the allotment and planted out my leeks - 64 of the little devils. Dug a short row of early potatoes, so they will go nicely with garlic & rosemary roast lamb and roast beetroot tomorrow. Sausages (venison) today.
I've got a couple of tubs to plant with flowers, to brighten the front a bit.
Have a lovely day whatever you are doing

it's 5:30am and I haven't slept yet. Not a wink. I am wide awake for no reason. Ugh, it's never good the next day when this happens

Re: Still sunny Saturday

Afternoon, people; a gorgeous day here, sunny and warm, 25 now. Tried to do my library run but apparently something was wrong with the buses: they normally run every 20 minutes, but after waiting for 45 I gave up, came home and did some much needed pruning, so not a complete waste of the morning, Will pick up my books Monday instead. DM, lovely about the new potatoes! How will I know when mine will be diggable?

Hope everyone gets to enjoy a lovely June day.

Re: Still sunny Saturday

Hiya All

Its my Dad's 80th birthday today.....loads of visitors....and yes we went to the flower show yesterday hardly any picturs taken though and not one of Mom and Dad due to her bruised face following the fall...

Lovely day here and visitors abounded due to Dad's birthday...people coming and going all day....no party (he being centre of attention, Mom will love one though she is dropping hints about her 80th already... 3 years time ) and no meal out due to Mom not being able to eat...anything remotely solid....so this is the best way to go. People dropping in.
