Hot Cross Bun TestingWe have just started our annual HCB testing, being rather partial to these tea-time treats. So we start with Co-op "cheapies" - 6 for £1.00 Flavour: 3 out of 5 - nice but a little under flavoured for our tastes. Value for Money: 5 - can't fault that at all. Appearance: 4 out of 5. Good, but the X was a bit chewy. Please fee free to add your own tasting results - the more the merrier!

Did you manage to try some HCBs PP? Don't suppose they have them in USA?? Anyway, another review from me. This time Tesco White Hot Cross Buns - 6 for £1.30 or 2 (assorted choice) for £2.00. Flavour: 5 out of 5 Yummy! Nicely spiced, lovely texture, good fruit content. Value for Money: 5 out of 5 - a wee bit more expensive than Co-op, but still excellent value. Appearance: 2 The only thing to let this bun down as the Xs were not central and so the buns looked "odd". Definitely the best so far - the first bun that has made me go "mmmmmmmmmmmm"  |

Popped into Morrison's on my way home from agility today and I have to report that there were NO HOT CROSS BUNS that I could find! I would have liked to have tried them. |
