Thursday daily

Morning. I've woken up with a very sore throat. Both my children have had a throat infection & a cold. They have alwasy been brought up to share, and they have kindly given me the throat trouble & John their colds!
Tiger-Lilly Pumnin is getting spayed today, so I will be dropping her off this morning & John will collect her this afternoon. Gizmo is going to the vets too today as her poorly paw is not getting better, she's the one who kept getting chased by the dog & she has got a bad paw. The new kittens are doing well, they will be leaving me soon to settle in with their fosterer. I'm off to work after my vet visit this morning & I'm working the overnight duty. I have offered to cook tea for myself & the other 2 staff that are on tonight, so we are having fajitas when they finish their shift.

Re: Thursday daily

Morning Smudgley,
Sorry you're not feeling well, I have tonsilitis at the moment too so I sympathise!
Got to work today, although I just want to crawl back into bed , I can't afford to be off sick.
Kindly is coming in with me to have some bloods taken and next week she's going to have some acupuncture-she's looking so old these days, poor baby.
Not much else going on, cold and miserable out
Have a good day everyone
Lx

Re: Thursday daily

Morning!
Hope you both feel better soon Smudgley and Pinklizzy.
I've only been up about 20 minutes, that's one of the joys of retirement, not having to respond to the 6.30 alarm any more!

I'm still feeling pretty sleepy though, I think dog training tired my brain out last night!! Guess what naughty Morgan Cocker did right in the middle of the hall with all the otherr dogs and owners watching! Oh, the shame

Got to get down to loads of laundry today, other than that, no plans at all. Enjoy the day everyone.

Re: Thursday daily

Morning all your early birds! Lots of people up bright and early today

It's lovely and sunny and semi-warm mildish today! hurrah! Spring does now feel like it's creeping in. I'm excited about the weekend; got a good friend from school coming to stay and we're going out with other good friends dancing, then got all sorts planned with her for saturday and sunday (sight-seeing around the city). Got my dance class tonight too which I love and is always a great way to herald in the weekend, makes it feels like it starts one day early

Was in bed by 10.15 last night and asleep by 10.45 (normally I'm asleep around midnight) and even though I'm not bursting with energy today I feel a bit more well-rested. The increase in sunshine and light has made such a difference to my energy levels already!

Have a good day all

Nice day!
I've been gardening - put my first potatoes in outside - and am now dog-tired and stiff.
Off for a nice soak - back later.

Re: Thursday daily

I've been sat in the office stuffing my face with birthday chocolate cake which I received today on account of not being in the office tomorrow! I did also visit my herbalist this morning and the stress thing is much better - just need to work on the nightime panic attacks now so have some more lovely tincture to help with that and hormone rebalance.
OH at a new business presentation in London so I'm in the room alone which is nice - not having his mumbling and cursing oposite me Just revised a dreadful German > English translation which we really should request a discount for . . . 2 pages took me over an hour!

Re: Thursday daily

Hi, all! Winter is hanging tough; it's sunny but only 2 degrees now, yesterday's high was 23! Washington weather! To Safeway for Leia's favorite minced turkey which wasn't available last week for my order. Madame was not pleased. Nothing particular on the agenda for the day. My Catsey calendar has been shipped, just may come today!

Smudgley, PL, hope you start feeling better soon. Glad Pumnin is having her op, give her a gentle cuddle from me, and Gizmo too. MrsH, agree it's lovely to be able to ignore the alarm clock now; and how naughty Morgan was! Janey, hang in there, you have a long way to go before retirement....maybe you'll hit the lottery and can get out of the rat race early! DM, have a question about potatoes, will post. Meep, hope it's a lovely weekend with your chum. Yola, may I have a piece of that cake?

Enjoy the day!

Re: Thursday daily

Afternoon all.
Saw my dad this morning and I have to say, he looks amazing. . He has to take things easy and will be attending a post heart attack rehab programe but all in all everything is good.
Popped into my old work, Acorn Pet Shop, to pick up some cat food, the area manager was there, she hardly took me on and as i finnished paying for my stuff I heard her say, "how often does SHE come in here?", in a not very pleasant voice. So I simply turned and said "Thats ok Carol, I wont be back." The shelves are pretty much empty anyhow .
Anyway, moving on from that insignificant nonsense, uploading some pics of the cats for you all.
Eva is booked into the vet on monday to be sedated and have her claws clipped. Although she has made big improvements, I dont think they are that improved
