Sidney poorly

Sidney is our gorgeous friendly disabled cat. He has been off colour for a couple of days. Being sick, very quiet & his tummy seems sore. We rang the emergency vet last night but decided to hydrate him regularly via a syringe and take him today if necessary. He is a bit perkier, although not interested in food, I shall be keeping a close eye on him. He is usually so loving & demanding and loves to head butt, don't like seeing him like this.

Any ideas anyone? perhaps it is the heat, he spent most of yesterday in my daughters room and it is very warm in there.

Re: Sidney poorly

My 3 are seeming extremely lethargic over the last few days too. Obviously keep an eye on Sidney and if you have any concerns I'm sure you'll get him straight to the vet.

I hope it's just the weather . . .

Re: Sidney poorly

I am at work at the mo but my daughter has just phoned to say he has been sick again and there was blood in it. Therefore we are off to the vet this evening. Will let you all know how we get on. My daughter loves him so much she slept downstairs last night so she could keep an eye on him and regularly syringe water into him.

Re: Sidney poorly

That's not brilliant And yes, going to the vet is absolutely the right thing to do.

I do hope Sidney's OK . . . and bless your daughter for looking after him so carefully.
