Balie - vomiting blood

Balie's has been throwing up a bit recently - nothing too concerning as he has spates of this occasionally. But today I got in and noticed quite big clots of blood in the vomit.

He's off to the vet at 6 tonight, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone's experienced this and whether I should be worrying . . . . (more than I already am)

Re: Balie - vomiting blood

Oh no, poor Balie no experience of that Yola, thankfully. Hope it's just blood from the continual retching, a small broken vessel, they heal quite quickly. I had similar after a rather boozy night and subsequent sick hangover
Fingers x'd all goes well at the vets and gibe my big furball a cwtch from me & Posh.

Re: Balie - vomiting blood

Candy does this every so often- having IBD she is regularly sick. I think it is due to irritation of the stomach and throat lining, the vets were never too concerned but gave me antepsin and zantac when it was occuring regularly.

Hope he is fine.
