Cats & Windows!

Hmmm. Im sure this must be a subject encountered by every kitten owner & am wondering if anyone could advise. We need the windows open as the house is getting soo stuffy, but obviously dont want Charlie disappearing out of them! Atm Im thinking a window restrictor, so that the window can be open all the time but only slightly & cant be pushed further etc. Is this the best option or are there more? Thanks, Becki
