Azure Blue Saturday

Well, that's what the sky is now; after a week of unrelenting rain (7.6"!) the mess has moved away, the sun is shining and everything is drying out at last. Ten thirtiesh and 23 C (73 F). That 7" is just in the City, some areas got 12 - 15"; lots of flood damage. Weird weather lately. What's everyone up to this Saturday? Kazz is holidaying, Angie's computer is down, what's new with you?

Re: Azure Blue Saturday

Another quiet day here Eileen. A few odds and ends round the house being done, but otherwise not doing very much - might make some soup, though I don't have all the veg I'd like for that, and think am staying in today... Overcast and windy out today.

Hope the sun dries up the ground for you properly...

Have a good day all.

Re: Azure Blue Saturday

Hi all, changeable day here. I indulged in a little light (ahem) pruning and now have one less Elder tree. They spring up like weeds!
Just had Thai spiced pumpkin soup made with a home grown pumpkin.

Re: Azure Blue Saturday

Not really a recipe DM. Halve the pumpkin, roast for about half an hour, scoop out flesh into a pan with a can of coconut milk, wizz it up with a hand blender, warm through and add red curry paste to taste. I make it up as I go along!

Re: Azure Blue Saturday

I think I'd be tempted to use a tin of pureed pumpkin (organic) as I do for pumpkin pie.

I seem to remember that being mentioned in a discussion about pumpkin pie recipes last Thanksgiving.
