How exciting for Sean and Emma, I hope they have a great time ....... have they been skiing before Donna? I'm pleased to hear you and a friend will be having a day out in London, you have certainly earned it after all these years, Donna Try to find time for a ride on the London Eye, you get a lovely view up there! |

As a Londoner I have to get my regular 'London fix' it is a fab place - loads to see and do and I love the hustle ad bustle. Hope you will have a fab day and Sean & Emma have a great time in Austria. |

How about Tower London (see Crown Jewels), Buckingham palace, a tour of London on a Red London bus, The Tate Modern which is free The British Museum (Elgin Marbles,Rosetta Stone, Easter Island Statue) Natural History Museum (Dinosaurs, and the real size blue whale) Houses Parliament (if you go The Houses of Parliament is only a short walk down Whitehall from Trafalgar square to Parliament Square. The building is stunning from Parliament Square, but it is worth taking a walk over Westminster Bridge and getting the view from the South Bank. And if you want to know more about London's history then go to the Museum of London (see the Lords mayors coach) See I have been doing research I am off there myself in Feb...for maybe a weekend. But at least a full day...and a show. |

Wonderful! I'm so glad you're finally finding time to do things just for you. A word of advice; don't go to the Zoo, we took the boys there about 15 months ago and it was dire. I remember it as an exciting place from childhood as we went often, but it was a big disappointment even for the little ones. I'd recommend the London Eye too . . . unless of course you're terrified of heights |
