September 15th 1996 I rescued Willow from our local animal rescue centre. She was about 2 years old. She had been found in a barn with her kittens but all her kittens got homes very quickly but Willow was left behind. She was a very frightened little girl but her big loveable eyes called me over to her pen and we shook paws and struck a deal that I would look after her for the rest of her life.
12 years later, several homes, 2 children, 2 husbands, some animal brothers and sisters, a chopped off end of tail, you became ill after a very healthy and happy life. Never a lap cat but we understood she had a rough start in life and trust was difficult for her, yet she loved to sleep on my feet every night and loved a head stroke. she couldnt even meow properly but that didnt matter as her beauty made up for it by far.
Her illness was short lived and thank goodness because she didnt deserve to suffer. She tried to fight but the battle was too great and her eyes told me it was time for me to give her the greatest love of all. Willow passed away in my arms at 18.25 on 19th October 2008 aged at least 14 years.
If you love someone so much you must set them free.
Run free pussy Willow...too precious for earth but will never be forgotten.
