Quiz night

The fastest first does seem a little unfair on those who have dial up or maybe cannot type so fast.

I`ve just been on another site where they are trying a quiz and the scoring method was 3 points for the first correct then two then one for the third.

What do others think?

It will be fastest first tonight but I did think that was a good idea

Re: Quiz night

I'm a bit biased as I'm a dial-up user, but I think that's a fab idea!!! What does everyone else think?

Re: Quiz night

I agree that our current scoring system is not ideal - but then, if we did go over to the scoring system Steph mentions, would it actually make any difference to the outcome apart from making people feel that at least they scored some points!!!????

Re: Quiz night

I do appreciate that Steph!

Of course our other problem is that not many people are reading this thread and giving their opinions!

Re: Quiz night

I think Steph's idea sounds good! The dial up players would get a better chance of answering first if it was a slightly difficult question and had everyone else stumped......the delay in answering on dial up would be matched up against the thinking time of BB members..

Re: Quiz night

It would make a bit more work keeping score for the quizperson; but I agree with Angie that it would be a psychological boost for those who often know the answer but always come in too late....... perhaps we should put up a poll?

Re: Quiz night

I totaly agree but I am dial up too. Sounds like a good plan.

But anything is worth a try.....never ventured nothing gained but I think worth a few weeks trial.
