How Smudge cam to stay
Thought I'd share what I think is an amazing story with you all.
My first cat Shanti was a lovely neutered Tom. I got him when he was a tiny kitten for sale in a pet shop, he was the most beautiful pale orange and white with the most laid back nature ever.
Anyway he was always bringing me home presents. Some of the more unusual ones were an empty (and very smelly ) milk carton, someones old sock, a hat!! and then all the usual birds, mice etc.
So I was not too shocked when I spotted him coming up the path with yet another muddy 'gift'.
Only when he got into the house did I realise he had brought me home a kitten. Soaked to the skin and very muddy. She was so cold, I had to put her in some tepid water to bring the temperature up a bit.
Took her to vet who reckoned she was 4 - 5 weeks old.
She developed into the most beautifully marked tortie who would retrieve toys, bits of rolled up paper and grapes for you.
Both her and Shanti got on really well.
I never found out where he got her from despite searching and asking around the area.
