Autumn colour

The sun eventually came out this afternoon so I took the opportunity to catch a bit of autumn colour in the garden........

Hydrangea with it's leaves full of autumn tints.....

My last rose.......

Re: Autumn colour

That's a stunning rose Mags. Beautiful. (but I'm not a rose person, for my own garden .... I think they're way too fussy about what they like and don't like etc etc)

Re: Autumn colour

Thanks!
The rose is a Mousha, it has double flowers like carnations and is grafted on to a 40-50 cms stem........

DM, there are roses developed by a British breeder that are extremely hardy and not particularly fussy...pretty much just plant them and ignore. Well, they will need water in extended dry spells, but so do other plants. They're called David Austin English roses ...I have several, and never spray, etc...two are in bloom right now. Sorry that I don't know how to post a link, but if you Google David Austin roses I'm sure you'll find a lot of info and maybe some nearby garden centers that carry them. They're quite popular here...if you like roses but hate the fuss, they jut might work for you...
