Cardiff Christmas LightsWe took a train journey to Cardiff yesterday to do some Christmas shopping. There's a brand new shopping Mall there which is huge and caters for all ages and tastes. Plenty of eateries, we had a lovely roast turkey meal which added to the occasion!  We stayed a little later than usual as I wanted some photos of their lovely Christmas lights. The tree in one of the many Malls...  Cardiff Castle....    The Big Wheel....  The Millenium Stadium peeping over the roof tops....   Street decorations.....

I like Cardiff. My son was at uni there for 3 years and I enjoyed visiting him! Shame we missed out on the new mall though! |

Fantastic pics!!! I just love what they've done with the castle; like a great big Christmas cake! It's looking wonderfully festive  I adore Cardiff, used to go there a lot when I worked at B&O as it was on my 'patch'. The store I helped open was just infront of the stadium in St Mary Street; used to park my car in the carpark next to the stadium and was amazed at the size of the place. I'll try and get some pics of Reading's lights. They've improved a lot in recent years as the businesses and retailers have taken over the funding from the council. Ours is ballroom themed this year (giant chandeliers)  |
