Metacam is licensed in cats, but after a couple of months I would get the organ function tested for your cat. If it has any form of kidney damage I would stop, I would also do regular checks just to confrim the kidneys, in particular, are in no way compromised. If the kidneys are fine, personally, I would have no issues using it, but if they are, I would try to find alternatives. I have a couple of cats in renal failure and have found that acupuncture is very beneficial, and it avoids any other meds being added to the cats system. |
