She DOES look thin, but then my Darcy is scrawny even after eating like a horse for the last 8 months he's been with us!!! I hope she settles in quickly with minimum fuss and that the whole family; furry and otherwise take to her - she looks beautiful |

Yes I was thinking more fur than cat, but I have to say from the initial pictures of the introduction doesn't look like you will have cat wars - whats her story how come she's needing a new home. Karen |

she is VERY THIN under her coat. I am very sadden by how she is to be honest. Got her booked in at my vets friday, see how she goes. No problems on cat wars front! She even came over to me for some fussing, only a few minutes then off she went again. Story I got is that the woman who was looking after her for a friend has MS and can't keep her. I was told she pedigree, though i don't care cos she lovely. Was also told she likes to eat HAM for sandwiches, you know the sliced packets doesnt look like she been taken care of the way a persian should be, and i am very sad about it. But anyone who knows me knows she will get lavished with love, and I'll do anything i can to get her better. AS for feeding her up....any suggestions other than give her planty? I was wondering if kitten food be better for her, seeing as she needs to gain some weight? the way she settled right in you'd think she'd been here for ever!she fine with elliot, not bothered by him one bit. I think with a bit of love and time she'll turn into a beuty, well she is already. Any advice warmly received !!! like i say, given her a good brushing and a bath already. |

She looks a little poppet CJ. If she needs to gain weight - the best thing is premium quality high protein food. IE good quality kitten food (usually the more expensive ones are the premium quality ones ) I would get her onto Royal canin or Purina pro-plan. |

thanks smudgley. I will prob get royal canin, i get the persian one of that for Mr Darcy. As we only have one pet shop ehre it can sometimes be ahrd to get decent pet foods. none of the small supermarkets here do decent ones, at worst hubby is here friday so can get to pets at home and get her something decent to eat. Poor little poppet |

Hard to say. I thought lilac self initially, but then I only saw her face. However seeing her body she may well be a lilac cream as Luke suggested - exactly like my Fifi and according to the breeder I bought her from, quite a rare colour combination. I would 100% recommend Royal Canin Persian Mix for feeding . . . supplement it with cheap packet ham (I buy the Bernard Matthews stuff - only fit for feeding to cats in my opinion . . . ), some prawns and a bit of tuna/tuna juice. Wipe her eyes daily with warm water on cotton wool pads to ensure there is no eye muck caking in the corners of her eyes, and brush regularly and cuddle lots. Other than that seems like you're doing everything you need to!!! Do be careful though with the weight thing; my Balie was scrawny for years and suddenly he has turned into a right portly old gent |
