Onyx !

Here's Onyx, my little homeless at, who won't come in! She's in the yard across from my house as I was on my way to the bus stop, so got this pic!

Re: Onyx !

Oh Eileen! She's beautiful, but what sad, sad eyes she has!! Onyx suits her as a name perfectly. I pray that she realises what a wonderful home she would have with you very soon. x

Re: Onyx !

I agree. What a sad expression! she'll come round. Just look how moli's Chancer has come round. Last time I visited it was like he had never lived anywhere else.

Re: Onyx !

She is lovely Eileen almost exactly as I pictured her from your description. I'd say her eyes are those of someone who uses her wits to survive.

You have got the hang of the camera and uploading pictures haven't you. Well done.

Re: Onyx !

Thanks, all! Maybe I'm too close to her to see it, you all commented that she has sad eyes; to me they are wary eyes, She's been homeless since at least the Summer of '05 when Carolyn started feeding her; obviously distrusts people very much,,,who knows what had happened to her. But she's coming around a bit, will come at feeding time when I call her, let me pet her once very briefly, and did sniff my fingers a few days ago. But she's primarily interested in her two nice warm meals a day... and who can blame her?

Re: Onyx !

Sad eyes is what immediately came to my mind too. She's lovely. I hope she learns to trust in time.
