Broke down, and annoyed.Well I left the board and set off for Smudgleys got no distance at all and I broke down well all power went in the car although still running it sort of "kangroo'ed" down....no power no pick up but engine still running. Called AA nce man came out.....thinks my head gasket has gone............as it seems does everyone else  from the blokes i the pub by where I broke down to my brother inlaw to Dave who is slightly worse for wear after spending the day at a christening...........I was there but we had a row and I left him there after the christening..........however I am now totaly annoyed..........a row a ruined day, let Kelly down, now the car is up the swanny......although it seems it can run with the trouble.but it will get worse........really scarey though foot down no power to speak of..........Back jhome now as the car sort of sorted itself out nothing the AA man did but he did follow me home in case.  Not a good day, stubbed my toe this morning, laddered three pairs of tights......... had a row with Dave before we set out got worse as we were going (over nothing really). All smiles at the christening, then I decided to cry off and come home rather than make it worse.....came home fine happiness but now he car situation..........SORRY Smudgley.   I feel terrible. But could feel worse apparently could be £400 to fix head gasket.

Oh dear Kazz - you've got yourself in a pickle haven't you? Some days just do that to a person. Have a nice cuppa or a warm bath, relax and then try to make it up with the people nearest to you. A car (even a b***** of a car!) is after all only mechanical. You'll feel better when you're yourself again. |

Oh dear indeed! What a wretched day! Have a nice bath, some favorite music and a glass of something or a cuppa. Some days it pays to stay in bed...... (((hugs))) |

Sorry to hear of your troubles Kazz, instead of having a new head gasket fitted it might be cheaper to get a new head (second hand) for the engine? sometimes the head can get warped if you have a broken head gasket. |
