Yes, it does look like a lovely day to be out on the canal. How long a ride is it?

That looks so lovely and calm Shelley! My OH and I had a canal boat holiday with a couple of friends many years ago. It was wonderful.

Looks fab. We spent a week on a narrow boat a few years ago, we loved it.

It was a two hour trip, Eileen. We are lucky that stretch of canal was open as some stretches have had to be shut due to a water shortage. Someone told me yesterday that in some parts the water was so low that the fish had to be rescued. Apparently they put a device like a stun gun in the water which stuns the fish and they float to the top. They were then transported to safety.
