Yola - Italian house thoughts

So then Yola, any thoughts on the Italian house idea?

Re: Yola - Italian house thoughts

Is Yola planning to move abroad or would this be a holiday retreat? Either way, a very exciting prospect.

Re: Yola - Italian house thoughts

The Italian house idea is a loely dream that we've both held for a long time. The properties on Le Marche can be extremely cheap compared to the usual Brit haunts of Umbria and Tuscany so if and when things get straightened out at work we will probably be able to pick up a small town house that needs some work doing to it for about E25K.

It would be as a holiday bolt-hole . . . somewhere where we or friends/family can just get away from it all. Nothing fancy; no large amounts of land or space for a pool, just a little old house in a little town or hilltop village.

I'll post some pics of ones that caught my eye later.

Re: Yola - Italian house thoughts

This is complete 'entry level'. It's in the town closest to where we stayed and it has this amazing old core surrounded by newer builds http://www.livinginlemarche.com/node/163 . . . it needs a LOT of work

There are lots of others but this is the one that I've fallen for http://www.livinginlemarche.com/node/277. It's a small villa rather than a humble village house. I know that they will take an offer on the price, just need to get some ducks in order and maybe, maybe if we go down next year we can do some viewings.

Well have to say I prefer the villa, however the idea of living in the town would be almost a unique experience.

I like the second one too, and it's closer to the beach. But pricier.
