Abyssinian WednesdayHi all! Glorious day here today and warm - 22C atm. OH, Monty and I have been out for a walk and a picnic and we did take plenty of water for us and Monty and had a good rest half way around. Went up to the top of Kingley Vale - the views were marvellous as always but there was quite a heat haze. Monty did us proud and woofed alarm and stopped OH stepping on an adder, which slid off into the long grass but we all had a good look at it. Feeling quite tired now and having a cuppa to recuperate! Hope to feel wide awake for the QUIZ this evening - 8.15 approx. Be there, or be square!!!

For Angie and her little Pip!  Another late Daily; hi everyone ... I know you're out there! Wretched weather continues, rain over night and light drizzle now at nearing 10:30 am; 15 C (69 F). This has been an extraordinarily wet September, nearing 8" now. All's quiet as usual, out for grass, down the hall to the greenhouse to check on my plants; the crown of thorns is in high bloom. Will try to remember to take the camera tomorrow for a pic. Hope all are well, see some of you at the QUIZ tonight! |

Hi all, although I'm not at work I have been very busy cleaning! Cooker cleaned, windows done, behind, under and above things dusted, just a mega vacuum to do and the house will be ready. I hope the cats appreciate the lengths we go to to keep their substitute staff happy. My fingers are very wrinkled. Still, I spent the morning in the sun tidying the garden which was lovely. Aaagh, I can see a streak on a window! |

Hi all... Sounds like you've had a busy day CS! Nice walk Angie - and well done Monty!  Seems scary to think our temps are warmer than yours are Eileen. Even if it is early morning for you when it's late aft for us... Sweltering day in the office today. Well, it gets hot with a cool winter sun, so any real heat and we all turn into grease spots... Must remember summer clothing tomorrow! Have a good rest of your day all! |
