No Amber No!

As most of you know since Amber got spayed 10 days ago we have been so careful her, only leaving house once for approx 15 mins to nip to shop to get bread & milk. The buster collar has been a pain as she kept getting it off

Yesterday morning took phone call which last max 4 mins if that. Was able to see kittens playing. Glanced down to put phone away & up again & thought - oh oh collar off. Got up immediately & went to her. Nearly died. Stitches were ripped apart. Cant explain the shock. Got appt at vets after lunch. He looked at it, said "Shes did a good job" & my heart sank, then he said "Very well healed, lets get rid of this collar girl and to me - she wont bother it now the stitches are out" thank goodness all was well! After us being so careful she still outwitted us in the end

Re: No Amber No!

Bhindi took one of her stitches out after a day! I rang the vet but they said that as long as it is holding together not to worry. I think the last one came out a few days later.
This is why I am waiting until half term to get Mitsy done I am going to keep my eyes peeled on her!

Re: No Amber No!

I wonder why more vets don't use the dissolving stitches? Misty had them, but that was back in the 80s ....... I had to take Leia's out myself .....
