Daily Thread / Friday

Morning all, still windy but not as severe and it is dry here at the moment. Got the usual School run, horses etc.. this morning. General tidying round and housework later. Not a hugely interesting day

Hope you all have a nice day! Thank Crunchie it's Friday

Thank goodness the gales have eased! Dry here and not too bad temperature wise either.

Have done the washing and usual chores this morning, just have a cake to bake this afternoon.....

No further damage to our property thanks Mags but quite a bit of damage to some of the outbuildings and barns at the farm where we keep our horse

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

Oh my goodness I can hardly move today The workout yesterday with my fitness trainer blokie was brilliant, all loose weights, but very controlled. Even though I'm aching like crazy, I still feel more energized than for a long time . . . even walked to the doctor's surgery to pick up Sebastian's prescrption - Dominik wasn't too impressed by that (sedentary child that he is), as it meant a couple of steep hills to walk up.

Weather is bright and quite spring-like today. Cats are in the garden and Sebastian's kipping in his pram in the garden. My daffodils have got quite distinct flower heads on them . . . I hope they don't get clobbered by any forthcoming frost

Luckily, his barn wasn't one of the affected ones but the wind certainly howls round it and it does tend to make the horses rather spooky

Re: Daily Thread / Friday

Sunny and chilly here, but windy: nothing like the horendous weather you all had yesterday, thank God! Winds 21 mph with gusts up to 35, so a rather nasty wind chill...Winter has finally set in with a vengance after 6 lovely weeks of above average weather. The anemones were showing buds, they look a little nipped now; nothing else is up enough to really worry about. Usual quiet day, to market, home to lunch, feed Leia and Onyx and just putter about. Glad no one had any serious damage yesterday; that was a dreadful death toll !! Nice evening, all!
