Scratching behind ears.

Wiggy has scratched all the fur off on the back of his ears, not bald, but has scratched some off, he is also scratching between his ears on the top of his head. No fleas, no irritation, ears look clean, any ideas?
Dawn.

Re: Scratching behind ears.

I was thinking possible ear mites but if his ears look clean then doesn't sound like it

Couldn't be a ringworm infestation could it?

Re: Scratching behind ears.

There arent any lesions, in fact, not a mark on him anywhere, and non of the other cats or the dogs are doing it, thats what puzzles me.

Habit? nothing would surprise me with this one Kazz. If he is still doing it on Wednesday, I'll ask the Vets to check everything out with them while he is under the GA.

Poor Wiggy!!! Dont want him to lose his good looks by going bald at such an early age. Hope you find out what is causing this Dawn. Does he scratch all the time, or occasionally - allergy? eczema?

@ Mags, I think that would suit him!

Possibly an allergy, I'll let you know how it goes, thanks for all the suggestions.
