Thanks ladies it was difficult to choose. There were lots of light sussex hens at point of lay, however these two were pecking away by our feet and were fine being handled and seemed to want to be with us. Ceri said he definitely wanted the Maran and I liked the look of the Ranger. We could have had another called a Rhondda Blue, a slate grey hen but we only have room for 2 My daughter now wants hens too but she doesn't have room, I can see her buying her own coop and putting it alongside |
