Nesh Cats..


Do you think my cats' are nesh?? please excuse the washing on the radiator






(look at Maud's belly hung over the edge of the radiator )

I take it that it must be a Yorkshire expression then

It means 'feels the cold' or 'can't seem to get warm'

I just looked 'nesh' up in the dictionary, it means ....... soft, tender, delicate

That's something else I have learnt of Catsey!!

Oops, just seen Fran's definition ...... I must have looked at the wrong nesh
(but there was only one!)

I think it must be a collaquilism (sp) Mags..It's quite commonly used round here...

but it is a bit of a play on soft, tender, delicate because a 'nesh' person is usually someone who complains of being cold but others would consider them a bit of a whimp for feeling the cold if you understand my meaning
