Kitten just died in my arms!so sad. ive been feeding her round the clock, she tool 4mlof cimicat at 7 30am yet still died! why? its not fair, she was so weak she couldnt latch on too mum i held her on nipple for ages, made no difference. vet saw her last night and just said hold her on nipple i did and fed her a supplement of cimicat like vet said, after all that she still died! shelost 15g in 3 days despite 2 hourly feeding! how can this have happened?

I'm sorry  You really are having a hard time of this with both Amber and the babies.I think you identified the 'why' yourself . . . the kitten was weak and had lost weight. Although I've never bred cats, I understand that sometimes it's just a case of 'these things happen'. No real consolation for you I know but hopefully the remaining kittens will grow and develop normally. You're doing a great job, I really admire your dedication. |

yes the kitten was weak, despite all my efforts, she kepton losing weight, where the others are gaining well. im having to syringe feed mum its so heartbreaking and frustrating, plus i cannot leave the house. im so stressed |

So very sorry you lost another Kitten, it was a bad sign when she kept losing weight, maybe something was wrong that couldn't be seen. What a struggle you are having.I'm sure no one could do better. How many babies left? |

3 im exhausted mum lost interest in food she s licked some hills ad and i syringed some ands water into her. im awaiting another blood test result |

Do you have a friend who can help? Even if it means you just get a bit of sleep or a break from the feeding/watching? I'm sure whilst the stress levels are bad for you, they're not good for Amber or the kittens either as they're probably picking up on your tension. |

I'm so sorry about the kitten dying you did everything you could but the kitten was just to weak. |

thanks for all your kind words ive been in tears all morning i have no one really my kids are useless i just wish amber would eat! she licked a little hills tin today thats all! she is with the 3 feeding them i have been weighing them every night |

I wished i lived nearer then i could help you. Sometimes the vet can give a steroid injection to stimulate appetite but i'm guessing this would be unsafe for the Kittens. As other people have said what you realy need is for someone to take over for a bit and give you a break. |
