Now the Irish wolfhound is a breed I had heard of and seen pics of; Scottish deerhound was a new one to me ... and to many of the news anchors reporting the results on TV. Interestingly enough, this Champion comes from around here: the Virginia hunt country, so she's gotten more than the usual local TV coverage. |

Not seen any coverage here Eileen although I may have missed it. However I have always liked the look of deerhounds, they remind me of slightly hairy versions of greyhounds, although in reality I think they have derieved from the USSR Borzoi. I have only ever meet two in my life and they were gorgeous, they were massive, not quite looking me in the eye but notfar off being 5ft4. |
