cat collars

i like my two to wear collars so people dont assume they are strays.

i usually just buy them from pets at home, as they have the safety release on if they get stuck anywhere.

ezzy isnt a problem and keeps her collar on. she doesnt get it off and has had the same one on for nearly a year now.

Myrtle on the other hand, hers last about 5 days before shes got rid of them

what collars do you use on your cats? im looking for some new ones and might look at different ones than the ones from pets at home.

Ooh great thread, I've been wondering about this lately, as there aren't many cats around our area..

Re: cat collars

the ones i see round here either dont have collars on, or just the bog standard flea collars.

i want mine to have nice collars on, but ones that have the safety release because i would hate the thought of them getting stuck on something and not being able to get free.

See I think I'm going for a bog standard flea collar because Wheatley is going to be a house cat, however should he escape during the summer (as the dogs will probably have the door open) I don't want a load of fleas in the house..

i tried to keep mine as house cats, it didnt work

my cats dont bring fleas in.. they have once, this year, and they are both nearly 5 so not done too bad.

they just have spot on stuff the same as the dogs and theyve been fine

also i dont know if i would spend £11 on a collar at the rate myrtle loses them.. if there are testimonials saying how long they last i might change my mind but if the buckle just comes straight undone the minute theres a slight bit of pull she will lose it in a day
