Goodness Eileen, I'm glad you're ok although it must have given you a shock. We had a small one here some years ago but I felt the movement, such a strange sensation that it's hard to describe. You can see all the latest earthquakes around the world here, yours looks pretty big compared to the others. Scroll down from the map and you will see where and when they happened. http://quakes.globalincidentmap.com/ So pleased it didn't upset Leia |

Yes, lynz! We rarely have them on the East coast and when we do they are very mild. I have never been in one before and am still shaking! The TV just said this could be felt up in Toronto Canada! The whole building was moving! |

*hugs* How scary!!! I'm so glad you're alright Eileen. That's a mini-adventure you've had... and one I'm sure you could do without. Now, do I advise something hot and sweet (for shock!) or something alcoholic (to calm the nerves) I wonder... You decide! *hugs* |

I think I'll breakout the martinis early! Had a call from Chris, he and his mom were in the supermarket when it hit; the floor started shaking and things falling off shelves: they hightailed it out leaving the groceries. This is the first mangnitude 5+ earthquake here since 1897!!!!! |

Carolyn called, she's OK too; she's on the 11th floor in her building and it really shook! I'm really surprised Leia didn't react at all. She's always been a cool, laid back cat (except when Onyx was in view!), but an earthquake?! |
