Another very mild day with sun forecast for later

Awoke with a dry throat this morning, hope I'm not picking up hubby's throat bug I must remember to put some lemons on the shopping list for later

Not much planned for today, still recovering from amusing a 4 and 6 year old for hours yesterday!

Sounds like you need a quiet day on CP Mags. The lemons are the best treatment, with a little honey and some warm water.
I have no great plans, other than to add more money to Tesco's coffers (heaven knows thay need it! ) and collect the mended picture from the framers. I've found it on line so here it is - you can see why I love it, I'm sure

To answer DM's question about boiler maintenance contracts from yesterday: No I cancelled it as their clauses are so restrictive; and they don't guarantee someone even getting in touch with you to set up an appointment before 36 hours after the problem is reported. Worse than useless.

I have a lovely Sikh central heating man who comes out at the drop of a hat (or turban in this case). We'll be paying just under £500 for the new heating thingie and all the labour. Painful but not as bad as we initially anticipated.

Am currently on hold (20 minutes so far) on a national rate line to the freezer engineers . . . it's getting close to me getting back onto LG and bawling them out again. It's such a scam and stitch-up and makes me SOOOO angry

And Sebastian's just waking so I'm going to have to hang up anyway

Apart from that? It's raining and windy so we'll be baking cakes and doing not much else I fear!!

Oh Mags - it's lovely here! Been to market and got a nice bream for tonight and actually sat outside at the coffee shop with my latte and toasted teacake (fusion cuisine!)

The pic is called Cat Capsizing, and that's just what he did on Sunday when I tried to tweak him level and instead sent him crashing to the floor

Love the photo DM! Started off cloudy here, but sun has broken through and it seems quite nice, if a little windy. Raechel has had a lovely morning opening her presents and receiving birthday calls from relatives. Not doing much until party time, when all hell will break loose. Was supposed to be picking up the in laws at Wolverhampton bus station at 4.50, but they sent a text saying that their bus was over an hour late getting into Glasgow, so they dont know when they will arrive! The kids dont know they're coming so it looks like Robert will have to be on party duty until I come back, oh what a shame!

Still sunny with brisk winds again...when will it warm up to seasonal temps...42 degrees windchill now! Did my big weekly marketing; getting ready to put out trash & recycling for tomorrow's pickup & fill the bird feeder. Quiet day. Have a good evening, all!

We have high winds and rain at the mnoment...Hubby was due home at 8, he has just phoned to say they have been diverted to Edinburgh, he is away to hire a car for a 3 hours drive home!!

I have penned a filthy letter to the MD of LG. Nobody phoned me; and when I called them, the number of their 'Escalation Team' was saying the office had closed at 5pm when it was 4.50!!!

Boy is the smelly stuff going to hit the fan tomorrow - I can be like a dog with a bone when roused
