A few months ago one of our neighbours put a note through everyone's letterbox asking people not to feed their cat, Sam, as he was on a diet. Maybe you could do similar explaining that your cat needs a special type of food and any other makes him/her poorly. |

OH! Thanks for your suggestion but I am thinking of getting these collars made up for general use. It is such a big problem (as a vet nurse) getting a clients cat happily used to a prescription diet (or medication) only to have it scuppered by a (often well meaning) neighbour. |

I can appreciate the problems ....... maybe a bit less formal? "My cat needs a special diet - please do not feed" maybe a bit too lengthy. |
