Good morning! Well, it's totally light here now and I think I might try to get in an early dog-walk. The forecast for later wrt torrential rain is not very encouraging. Then a bit of serious duster-flicking and vacuum dragging, in time to be finished and draped on the chaise longue for my OHs return this afternoon |

Just finished the night shift from hell. Ladies weeing in water cups, man trying to climb into bed with a dying lady. Wandering everywhere I am demented with them. I have insisted I have an extra member of staff tonight just to specialise these fruit and nut cases. Its completely unsafe. Off to sleep now, will take the dogs out later. I love fresh air when I do nights. Clears the cobwebs, then its back to work for me tonight. Not raining here yet but looks gloomy. |

Natalie, I don't know how you do what you do. I think it would break me. Here it is wet and windy and dull. Had to speak with Domi's teacher this morning as Dom says he's being bullied. Not physically, but there's a big lad in his class the bosses everyone around and is very good at ensuring Domi's excluded from games at playtimes Had a long chat with a prospective client last night and I need to prepare some estimates for him this morning. It's branding work (naming and logo development) which is really exciting stuff. Need to price it carefully as it's one I'd like to get! Apart from that it's the usual stuff in the office. Got lots to get through as I have my Sebi home day tomorrow, which I'm enjoying increasingly as Seb's becoming a really fun little lad to be with (when he's not tantruming)!! |

Morning all. Nat, I agree with Yola, I couldn't do it and admire that you are! Take some well-earned you time. DM, enjoy the arrival of your OH! I would so love to have a chaise-longe just to drape over And Yola, good luck with the potential new client, branding and logo design is one of my favourite parts of marketing too! Woke up this morning with an awful sore throat, had to grip onto something every time I swallow, ears all stuffed up, eyes blood-shot. Someone popped into work y'day for a few mins and had an awful cold, so I'm guessing I picked it up off them. My lower back / hip area on left hand side is really bruised from slip on ice and couldn't lie on it all night which led to cramp in my legs from sleeping in one position. And to top it all off, had a fight with OH this morning and he left without saying anything. He'd done the cat litter trays by scooping out the dirty litter but hadn't put any fresh stuff in to top it up, and there wasn't much litter in either. I asked him if he was going to top it up (in what I thought was a normal tone of voice, not nagging, just to see otherwise I would have done it) and he was really defensive and agressive saying "look, stop asking me to do things! they're fine! there's plenty left! stop getting on at me!" so me feeling like utter cr*p anyway with a head cold said "stop being an a**" or something and then we both went back to getting ready. 10 minutes later he left without saying anything. I thought he might have come through or I would have gone to speak to him, but I hate leaving anything like that unresolved or open. It wasn't an awful fight, no shouting or anything, but the last thing I said to him was mean, and I feel like he WAS being unreasonable, although I was probably wrong to curse at him. Needless to say I topped up the cat litter. So overall not a great start to the day. Sorry to rant on, normally I like to sound chirpy but it's just not one of those days. Got another new dance class tonight (Latin Flava) so hopefully I'll be feeling better by then. |

BM - we're kind of tooing and froing with Fashion World. I've placed an order but needed to pay some of it upfront (which I did) but then found they can't deliver to my office - or their online address recognition thingy wouldn't recognise my office address (rural)!! But we're emailing and hopefully it'll get sorted. The catalogue arrived yesterday and I do like their womenswear - especially the Joe Browns stuff |

meep - men are sensitive about what they perceive as criticism of their 'housework'. Don't dwell on it. If you're not satisfied with what he does, either complete it to your standard, in your own time, probably when he's not around. or tell him you'd rather do it yourself (I recommend action 1) Just look at how they normally do household 'stuff'. They do it .... but don't make an art out of it. The alternative is to have a fussy, anal-type, man. I prefer a 'there; that'll do' type. Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus. We're generally not the same but we can generally co-exist. And this is where I could do my 10 year, 10 months, 10 weeks, 10 days, 10 hours homily, but I won't bore you. Take care |
