400 cats rescued in china!

Hi everyone, we all know what happeneds to cats in china. I want to adopt a cat in china so i came accross some links. There is a charity in Shanghi that rescues them from the meat/fur trade. the held up a waggon and rescued them. On the page link below, you can see the cats that have been rescued recovering from their horrific treatment. They are so gorgious! and there is a yahoo group you can join called "people4chineseanimals". The website is the Anti-fur society, but they are doing some great work. It sounds to me that the traders are taking cats off the streets to sell for meat and fur, and that includes peoples pets, so its not just wild cats that are used!

Feel free to help them in whatever way you can, petitions, donations, buying gifts, or adopting a cat ( I presume you can do this via internet with dontations) but im yet to check.

It made me cry, but for the sheer happiness of emotion that surrounded the rescue, and for the sadness of those that could not be saved.

There is a news report and a link to click on to show homeless rescued cats in china for adoption, however this is now out of date so they may have been adopted.

They need all the support we can give. xxx

Reading this made me cry how could anyone treat animals like that. They are very sick people. If I had my way I would do the same to the people that do it to the animals and see how much they like it

Yes it is really bad, im so glad that these cats were rescued tho. you can join a yahoo support group for the cats in china . ive just joined it, and im waiting for approval from the moderator. http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/P...hineseAnimals/
