Standing a few paces from someone who is irresistible to the little...blighters usually works best. I'll have a look at the latest lot of chemicals we had for the Pennon adventure when I get home. They did alright against the midges. |

If you have been bitten, a quick home remedy is to put toothpaste on the bite! It really does take the itch out of it I was told to use this in two different countries while on holiday...... |

I was going to say toothpaste as well. USed to be told make sure it toothpaste with fluride in, but i think they all have it in these days. Works for me. I also have one of those little pen looking stick things you can rub on bites and stings, STINKS for a few seconds but works quickly. I never use repellants, but I dont go on hoildays and we dont get many mozzies or anything where I live, so I only get the od bite. |
