Rabbits, chickens and butterflies

Thought you may like to see my bunnies new home. A friend of mine gave it to me after she and her husband split. She couldn't take the guineas with her so rehomed them, and let me have the hutch. Its 2 hutches in 1, and lets Nala and Custard see and smell each other without the nasty fighting. It's been a huge success already as they've been lying side by side at the mesh divider

Also is a pic of my one remaining chicken, Chookie. The others have all gone one by one, but getting some new girls next week hopefully. And the other pic is a beautiful peacock butterfly that landed on my heather. The first one of the year

What lucky buns, lonely Chookie I suppose soon to have new friends and a lovely butterfly. I saw several Peacock butterflies yesterday while I was out walking - they are about early this year I think.

What a great hutch - ideal.

What kind of chooks are you getting. It'lll be nice for your solo not to be an only any more.

Re: Rabbits, chickens and butterflies

The chooks were all either given to me by others or I got them from a farmer who was downsizing, so no real ideas of their ages. They all had good lives here though. I am looking at some sites for POL birds, but tbh I'd rather take on some that need homes iykwim? But they do need to be younger ones so we get proper laying from them lol.

And the buns love their new home. I'm so pleased with it

No idea tbh, whatever comes our way I suppose . I'd like a bit of variety this time though, as it's always been gingernuts we've had. She's only been on her own for a week or so, and she's spent all of that time roaming the garden with one or t'other of the bunnies (they have to be let out seperately), and seems content enough, but being flock birds she really needs companionship
