Thanks
Must admit, prior to coming to the UK I had never heard of a Chinchilla (apart from the feline kind). We wanted a pet for our daughter and after much discussion and research, we chose the Chin. After we'd had him for a year, we thought he would appreciate company because even though our daughter would put him in the cat run twice daily for games, it's not the same as having another of your "own kind". So we took him to the vets to have him sexed as we didn't want any little accidents. Were told he was a boy so we bought another boy. Within a year, wouldn't you know it, we suddenly had 3, not 2. Turns out our original boy was a girl! We kept the baby and had the male neutered straight away lol. What colour are your Chins?
