whats your earliest memory?hey guys,i was just on the phone to a friend of mine from sunderland,she always asks random questions that really get you thinking and she asked me what my earliest memory was!!! i sat for ages and ages and couldnt answer her. ive just sat thinking again and think i have it - it was my 4th birthday party at my aunties house and i was wearing an orange dress standing on a table in the back room singing,i had a pink birthday cake and all my brothers and sisters were there,my nan,dad,aunties and uncles.I was suprised by how much i could remember so i rang my dad to ask him and he said the only thing i was wrong about was my age,it was actually my 3rd birthday  so why then cant i remember things from yesterday!!!!!!just thought it would be interesting to see what other peoples earliest memories are

My earliest memory is from when I was 2 or 3 (not sure which). I was at either a playgroup or nursery, and I have on an orange and brown zig zag stripe dress (those were the days fashion wise, huh!) and I'm climbing on a wooden playframe with a slide!! |

I have only a few early memories but one that stands out is a dancing class party that my sister and I went to and my mum dressed us both in these awful mustard coloured pinafore dresses and made us both a hat. I remember hating my hat but really liking my sisters and threw a paddy that I wasn't going to enjoy the party because she had the better party hat  Think I was about fourish/fiveish at the time |

I was about three, and sitting on the kitchen floor when this enormous spider came crawling along....I screamed and screamed until my Mom killed it....think that's why I'm still terrified of spiders ...... |

I have a few of a similar time i think.. Sitting in between the paws of one of the HUGE pyrenean mountain dogs that belonged to my aunty Hope, [my mum used to have them too!],and having my photo taken..the dogs name was Borris and was a true gentle giant. Another is sitting in the little hall thing watching a dance lesson go on..i can't remember who used to run it, some relative-thus why we were there And being walked in the shallow end of the stream by an older cousin..it was a beautiful hot day n i can remember the dogs were all crashing around in the water too.. I think these are of a similar time-not positive which was actually first though |

hmmm god now this one gets you thinking Dont know how old i was but i remember having my school photo taken and having to wear this horrendous dress in black and white. You know the ones that had the really rough material and the zips that stabbed you in the chest and under the chin lol Sarah x |
