Thursday's Daily

Can't remeber when I last started a daily thread!

Well, the snow has hit us hard. Big drifts and it has started up again. Decided to call in work and ask for days leave. OH has attempted to go to village as he needs to pay his road tax. So here I am fretting that he is ok and gets back.

My car was abandoned last night, on way back from work, half a mile away and OH picked me up by quad bike - can you just see it me in my work clothes with kitten heels, handbag and briefcase on the back of a snow covered wet seated quad with 3 over excited sheep dogs who all wanted a cuddle.

We are going to attempt to get up to the hill to check none of our sheep are stuck in drifts against the dykes. We'l need to get feed up to them to as they are all expecting little babies so can't really be left too long without.

Wish us luck!

Re: Thursday's Daily

That doesn't sounds too good CM . . . I'm surprised a quad bike managed to get through deep snow, they've got quite small wheels haven't they. Still good job it did! I hope you managed to do the rounds of all your outside critters and headcount/feed them all.

No snow here, infact it's relatively warm and sunny and (dare I say it . . . very quietly, quite spring-like)!

We had a great parents evening; Dominik is right in the middle (average) with his maths, but his reading is way up there. The teacher said he was a delightful boy to have in the class and that he's always got something interesting to say, that he has a broad general knowledge and that he's curious about everything. Just got Sebi to go now next Tuesday

I have a list of things to get through today and as I have recovered my energy levels I'd better get cracking!

Re: Thursday's Daily

Good Grief CM... sounds like you need a good dose of Australian sun to melt all that snow!!
I hope all your animals are ok and that hubby gets backin one piece albeit with a slightly lighter wallet

Glad Dominik is doing good at school Yola.. its good if they can be generally average with a few highlights in important subjects like humanities..hopefully Sebi is just as good as his brother!

My teacher in primary school (i had the same one for the first 3 years as it was a small school) tol my mother that i was vaccinated with a gramophone needle! .... the cheek of her! and then when i came to Australia no one could understand me with my thick north of ireland accent... thank goodness i learnt to speak with an australian accent quick smart!

have had a busy one here today...shopping... cooking... some washing same old same old...
will be heading to bed soon to watch some more of the olympics!

hope everyone has a good day!

Re: Thursday's Daily

Morning, CM, Yola and sleep well Jo!

Overcast and quite gloomy here this morning. Not too cold and not raining atm.

I don't envy you all that snow CM - I could picture an elegant lady with her kitten heels, handbag and briefcase on that wet quad bike with those exuberant sheep doggies leaping around her. I just wish I could draw cartoons. Do hope your hubby and all the sheep are safe and sound.

Glad Domi is a popular pupil and enthusiastic and interested. He will get the most out of everything that way.

I have a family tree to do for work today - not quite as interesting as doing my own, and a lot more fiddly. Anyway that should keep me out of mischief.

Thinking about Kazz and hoping she gets discharged today.

Shelley, that sounds really interesting; the medium readings. Would love to hear about that when you get back

Glad you're out of there Kazz!

Miserable day, masses of rain seems to have fallen, better that than CM's snow though, that sounds awful. Now, where did we put Spring? anyone seen it anywhere?
