.... or not! maybe this thread title contravenes the Trades Description Act Hope it will turn out to be a fun day.
It's very mild and very dull here. Famers' Market today, so when my OH returns from his o'night engagement we'll head off and see what goodies are to be found.
I must write a thread about Chester's scullcap and valerian therapy for 'nerves' - he's doing very well.

Morning DM! Where is everyone today? Very grey overcast, murky and not cold here atm. Looks very much like rain. OH is baking a cake (yes really). I am keeping out of the way. I like to think it's therapy for him.

Must do some more reading of The Book today - got really behind! Off to the vet for 4.20 appointment. Hope he doesn't suggest anything too difficult (like wee collecting). I'll let you know. Merlin seems fine - has eaten very well this morning.

Just back from a toddle into town with the toddler!! A very hunky (Polish) sash window repair man is draughtproofing 2 of my most seriously-in-need-of-draughtproofing windows and the 3 cats are disgustedly confined to my bedroom to stop them escaping through the holes where my windows were (doesn't a house look odd without windows ).

Right, off to build a traintrack with junior and try out his new brio Thomas engine

My invitation must have been lost in the mail, DM! So I'm here on Catsey after the usual market run on a very dank, drizzly day, but it's at least warmed up a bit..12C now. I shudder to imagine what the gas bill will be like this month; unseasonably cool. But still no frost in the City: still picking basil and chilis, pulling scallions. No sign of the mouse or any of it's relatives! Leia's out of her vigilant mouser stance and is back to napping between breakfast and lunch....

TGIF, hope the weekend goes well for all....

Hi all - usually it take a while to read thru the daily - everyone must have lots of things to do today.

I'm just in from work. Going to have a lazy night, work has been hectic this week and I just want to chill.

Cali's insurance eventually decided they would pay for all her vet, vet hospital and pain clinic treatment (£1,873) phew, as you can imagine I am well relieved. I've been waiting since September for them to decide.

OH making tonights meal - no idea what he's going to produce.

Need to review my to do lists - managed to make one curtain for the utility - really need to do the other!

Evening all! I took a day off work (hence my absence until now) as I decided I needed a long lie. Well, that idea was short lived when at 7.20am I woke up to Darcy purposely knocking over a pint glass of water all over OH's magazine collection, OH jumping up and swearing, mopping up angrily, swearing again Darcy does purposely knock things over in the morning to get us up (I've watched him do it, he knudges items to the edge of a shelf to make them fall) but first time he's done it with something that's spilt or made a mess. Anyway, I managed to get to sleep after he'd left for work and feel much better for it!

Went into town and got myself some killer sexy heels for going out tomorrow. Going out for a meal, cocktails and a boogie!! Very excited

Tonight I'm going to clean the bathroom (have already scrubbed the rest of the flat), run a hot bath, enjoy, give myself a foot makeover, paint my nails red, watch the QI Children in Need speical, and have a good long sleep in preparation for tomorrow OH is at home for tonight and tomorrow with his parents and I'm enjoying the me-time.

It's really stormy here tonight, quite mild, I went out in just a thin cotton top and cotton jacket (only two layers and both cotton!) and wasn't cold at all, but now it's really windy and raining and the sky was an evil grey earlier.

I've been out shopping for Dylan.

Got him some cat milk (it's nearly all gone now! Just about enough left for tomorrow morning ) and some turkey (which he likes very much! *Dylan licks his lips*)
