Thansk for the warm welcome guys, I'll post some piccies as soon as I can I got Ozzy as a pair with another feral (who unfortunately passed away 3 years ago) at the age of roughly 4 as the cat rescue in East Lothian had him roughly 18 months and the vet aged him at 2 when they got him. Sad and angry time as he was rescued from a 1 bedroom high rise flat in Leith with 24 other cats of various inbreeding problems! the angry bit is that the owner 2 years previously had cats removed from them and promised to spay the 2 she was left with but never did grrrrrrrrrr. Anyway I have had Ozzy 6 years now and the first 3 mths was hiding behind a cupboard apart from night time when he thought we were asleep then easily a year of feather on a stick etc to gain trust. He is a gorgeous big boy, shy with others but will now sit on my husbands lap, never mine though loves being brushed but you can never pick him up, the trust only goes so far. Thankfully he has no heath problems apart from a split eye (like a cataract) the vet said which definatley aged him at over 10 though. |
