Rescue cat Harry has suddenly....

snapped out of his mood.

Very strange, but he's been here a few weeks & as you know I have not really been able to handle him. He would hiss & strike at me. He is always in his bed & his ears are always down.

A few days ago, when I was feeding Sooty & Sweep, I could hear a very loud miaow.... miaow....MIAOWWWWWW..... I looked & it was Harry by the door, in his run, he was shouting me . I went to him & asked him what he wanted, I went in & we had a chat, he pushed his head against my hand as if to apologise for his silly behaviour & to make friends. I couldn't believe it. He'd soon had enough & gave me a smack & went in his bed.

The next time I went down, the same thing happened, as it has every time since. He calls me, I stroke him, we talk then when he's ready he smacks me & we leave it there.

I have spoken to a lady about him, she's always had rescues & is coming to see him tomorrow. I am always honest with people who view the cats & have told her all I can about him. She knows Harry does what Harry wants when Harry wants!! She sounds ideal for him.

I'm so happy to hear this smudgely! I hope Harry finds his forever home with this lady and continues to feel better in his skin.

Edit: I'm suddenly not sure that saying translates to English, but I mean he'll feel better with who and where he is.

I love the sound of Harry he sounds just like how Tippy Toes was. She was quite independant and was not shy to give you a good whack when she wanted - I still have a scar on my leg where she dug her claws into - but she became the most loving cat in the world I still miss her loads its nearly a year now since shes been gone

Hooray for Harry!!!! I wasn't aware of the story but I'm so pleased he seems to be beginning to trust again. I think all cats have it in them, even those that have had a hard life.

I hope he bonds with his potential new owner and things just keep getting better for him.

No - she hasn't been back to see them yet. She will come again soon.
