More new birds.I cant' remember if I've said but we collected 20 ex-laying quail from a local producer on Sunday. Mike collected them and they weren't in too bad condition- bald but not as bad as the last lot. We took 20 because he wanted £3 a bird and we couldn't afford anymore. They are very flighty but I'm sure will settle. We collect 12 ex-commercial hens tomorrow, so it will be interesting to see how they look as I assume they are free range birds, but I've still heard they can be in a bit of a state.
