Morning Squirrel, that snow's not very welcome! Come on Sun, it's Springtime! We clip Jason's claws now, I'd never done it before with any of the cats we've had over the years but this boy is a carpet clawer and clipping them is the only thing that stops him. I only do the front ones and I only clip off the sharp tips, I certainly wouldn't want to go into the thicker part. I once clipped our spaniel's claws too far down and caught the quick, the place looked like a blood-bath and it must thave been rather painful for him too Nothing happening here today, the paper's just been delivered so I'll be spending some time reading my way through that, think I'll put some coffee on first Have a nice day! |

Good morning squirrel and MrsH, squirrel, can totally sympathise with the snow!! We have about an inch or so on the ground at the moment and its still coming down we were planning on going for a decent sized walk today but the weather has put a stop to that. Im working tomorrow but if the snow keeps up the way it is, not sure if i will get in tomorrow. Hope you all have a nice day and stay safe in the snow if you are affected by it. also meant to say, i found my puzzle book with riddles in it so will maybe post 1 later for a bit of fun |

Thanks for the advice MrsH. As for the snow Pamela, am now considering if I should call off going to my friends b-day party It's not so much what it's like now, though there is plenty lying on the ground, it's the fact that am a wee bit out in the country, some roads can get quite bad, and it's showing no signs of stopping... I'm in an auto, and am not the most experienced driver in this weather - esp seeing I've got a hill to get up to get here... And to top it all off, I don't own a shovel!!! *rolls eyes*. Yes, I am a wimp, but the idea of getting stranded just isn't good! |

i can understand squirrel, if its anything like it is here then it looks like ours is on for the day. We have just had theplough on the main road but got a feeling we are going to have the same probs in our street that we had in January Just be careful if you do go out driving squirrel. The main roads look clear on the bbc traffic and travel road cameras atleast but it will still be treacherous for driving. I wont drive in it either unless i get caught out. OH will be taking me to work tomorrow if we can get the car out. Took 2 days the last time |

Hi all - you have my sympathies if you have snow. It's a lovely Spring day here atm and all the daffodils are out along the roadsides - not sure who or when they were planted but there are loads along the lanes where we live. Just having a coffee and then planning to go and do some weeding in the garden and plant my sweet pea seeds in the greenhouse. Not sure Kizzy is 100% - she's been sleeping a lot, but then she was particularly active yesterday, so may just be catching up. Will be keeping a careful eye on my Heart's Delight. MAY have found another Mini Schnauzer litter - pups only 2 weeks old atm, so we can't go and see them yet. Salt and Pepper and boys only. Have a great day everyone - keep safe if you have snow, better not to go out if you don't have to or if you feel it to be too risky! |

How exciting Angie. Do hope you get to go see them soon. Snow falling a little more slowly again. Were it like this 2 hours back I'd probably have gone. But as it is, I've called off. Disappointed, but... Will look on the bright side - though there be lots of snow on the ground now, it's still nothing compared to last Nov/Dec, and the cars are starting to cut through it all... Here's hoping it won't hang round long! |

afternoon peeps. no sign of snow here thank goodness. i think you were wise Kate to not go to the party, it's not worth getting stuck. I have never trimmed any of my cats claws, because they have access to the outdoors they keep them trim themselves. I didn't realise untill recently that cats had their claws trimmed. We do however trim the dogs and like people have said you need to be careful not to cut the quick, ouch. Angie, how exciting about the pups, are they close by ? Took the dogs to the river, Malaika had a good romp and Kwame of course had to be carried, he had his first injection last night. Off to training soon with Malaika, then pets@home with Kwame to do some socialisation and pick up supplies. Tom and Jerry have put their order in for cat milk. |
