Monday~ much the same

Lovely sunny day but we 've got bad weather forecast for later this afternoon & evening. Having a clean around today but feel so lethargic maybe a bit of rain will freshen up my energies.

Do cats have hay fever coz I'm wiping Posh's eyes a lot but the silly old cat will insist in lying under bushes next door in long grass and she sneezes more than usual, in the morning.

What to do for lunch? fed up of salad now. Have to clean out the car later, we're downsizing from Golf to Polo; less repayment and fuel costs. Have to think economy now we are both pensioners

Re: Monday~ much the same

I am fairly sure it's hotter here than it was yesterday. The walnut tree is shedding perfectly good leaves because of water stress. Need some rain ................... and need to water the tomatoes twice daily in the greenhouse.

OH is playing golf this afternoon. He will have to plaster himself with sun screen.

Have had trouble with Squiffy - posted on other thread.

Keep cool folks!

Re: Monday~ much the same

Hi PP, Angie. Still sunny, hot and bone dry here, 32 C (89 F), and yes everything is water-stressed. Watering the veggie bed and all the pot plants daily. 60% chance of t'storms, but they keep missing the City. No errands today, slept in and a few chores.

PP, do you like spicy food? I have a lovely cold Chinese noodle recipe that would be great for lunch. also a white bean and tomato salad .....

Angie, sorry Dr, Jekyll has turned int Mr. Hyde...

Stay cool, people. It could be February!

Re: Monday~ much the same

Hello,
work for me this morning, having to rely on Howard to drop me off as still no car, went all the way to Chorley to pick it up before recieving a phone call from the mechanic to say he's now found an oil leak.
Came home to get ready to go for a drink with an old friend whom i haven't seen properly for years only to recieve a phone call an hour before meeting to say she could only stay for just over an hour, it wasn't fair to expect Howard to drive me over for just an hour so had to cancel. Couldn't then change my plans and go to yoga as i's eaten a big meal.
Good news of the day is my youngest who has learning difficulties has been picked to do a Duke of Edinburgh Bronze award, they will be the first team with learning difficulties to do it.

Re: Monday~ much the same

Evening all - hot here today - I did take in some sunshine at lunchtime which was nice.

Then off to the gym for a 7.5km run - but I really enjoyed it and then some free weights.

Just having some chicken (reggae reggae style ) and rice and a glass of vino.

Have a good evening everybody.
