In early summer, 2 cute burmese cream/chocolate point kittens arrived near us. They had smart purple collars and were very playful. One was very friendly and even used to come into the garden and sit on my lap. The other one was very timid, but oddly for a burmese, had a fluffy tail albeit was a shorthair.
I was always worried about them and the fact that they were often running around in the front gardens which front onto a VERY busy road.
Well today my fear was realised. Walking down the road, almost past my gate I see this mess on the roadside. I couldn't tear my eyes away as I genuinly tried to work out what it was. Finally, the fluffy tail gave it away together with an obviously cat's ear
The poor darling was barely regognizable as anything but a matted muddy mess (after yesterday's downpours).
I'm so very sad about this, as it was a lovely cat. My friend thought I was insane as I just stood staring at the roadside.
I get SO angry with people who have so little regard for their pets as to let them out so close to such a busy road with this inevitable result
Sleep tight pretty kitty.
