What a good idea Kazz, it would soon mount up and it's nice to see the pile grow.. For years now I have saved 50p coins, also since they came out a few years ago...£2 coins. I save them up in £20 bank bags and when I have 5 of them I buy a Premium Bond.. It's a brilliant idea of saving for Christmas though, it won't come so hard on the pocket when December arrives. People would just have to find the will-power to leave the kitty untouched |

You could do it if you set your mind to it Alex ........ why not start with 50p - that would give you £180 odd for next Christmas |

When I first started working and was quite poor, the Savings and Loan in the building had a Christmas Club. You put in a small amount, or whatever you could, throughout the year, it collected interest, not much, but still nice, and the best thing was, you couldn't withdraw from it! So no temptation! And you got a check on December first! I have no idea if they still offer that, but it was a lovely idea... |
