Saturday daily

Good morning ladies,
Saturday 7.30pm here, after a lovely sunny day of around 20 degrees. After it being so freezing cold and snow last week, the warmth was very welcome. I did three loads of washing and managed to get it all dry outside, thank goodness.

I went to my own doctor yesterday and she's referring me to the hospital for x-rays and to see a specialist about my knees. It will take ages to get in, but that's OK.Funny though, my knees have been a lot better today. My cousin from Wellington flew down to Christchurch last night to see Brenna about his hearing. Mel, my cousin, had repeated ear infections as a child, and he now has some degree of hearing loss, so hopefully Brenna will see him right. We might all get together for a shared meal tomorrow, as he flies back up north on Monday. At least he's getting some nice weather while he's down in Christchurch. Tomorrow is meant to reach 20 degrees as well.

No sign of Jack and Vera yet ,but the two magpies are coming every day. They will come right up to Janna and take food from her hand, but won't come near me at all.The other wee birds are frightened of them and won't come down while they are around.

We had chicken tenders and veges for tea tonight and Janna took tea down to my sister also, because she was feeling unwell. Hopefully she's not getting covid again. She's only recently had it. Janna now has a few days off work and she's going to go through all her clothes and get rid of those she doesn't want. She's also been sent a couple of online courses to complete, so that should keep her busy.

PAMELA, it sounds as if you had a good time in Birmingham, but I bet you were pleased to get home to see Steven and the pups again. Wee Skye would have missed you as well. Did the dogs give you a great welcome ? That's the best about a dog - they're always pleased to see you. It would have been nice to get away and meet the team though and have meals provided for you for a change. I hope your flights were nice and smooth too.

SHELLEY,I'm thrilled that you have found a good supportive online printer for your book. The cost will be worth it.That vege hot pot sounds yummy.. Hope you enjoyed it.Congratulations on selling all those dolls Now you've just got to pack and post them away. Your dogs must indeed be very clever - Malaika getting to gold is amazing and Kwame getting to bronze is really good. What a shame he didn't like the other dogs. though.

Well ladies, I'm off to watch a couple of episodes of 7th Heaven on DVD Janna and I are really enjoying the series. We're only up to Season 2 out of 11 seasons, so we've got a way to go.We'll get.there. I finished one essay for Bible college but have another one to do, and really should try and make a start on it, but I don't feel like it tonight.I've got heaps of washing to fold and put away as well, but that's going to wait until tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday, ladies. Hope all your pups and kitties are fighting fit and with special prayers for Loona and Reuben - hope they are both continuing to do well.

Re: Saturday daily

Hello ladies, not up to much this weekend as I'm not well, something been going round work and I think I've got it.
Streaming nose, ear ache and intermittent sore throat, weird.
Will still take the dogs out as its nice and sunny, then attempt some doll repairs.
Will have to wait till next week to see if my book file with amendments is OK to place as an order.
Pamela, glad you enjoyed Birmingham, bet you are glad to be home now though.
Dinky, I hope you get to see your cousin and that you get an appointment about your knee soon.

Re: Saturday daily

Good afternoon ladies.

Dinky, i hope Janna enjoys her few days off. I hope you get to see the consultant soon. Hopefully Brenna can help your cousin. It will be lovely to have a family dinner with him. How long has it been since you have seen your cousin? That is amazing that the magpies take food straight from Jannas hand!

Shelley, i hope you feel better soon. It is horrible when you dont feel well. Did you enjoy your walk with the dogs?

Birmingham was great. The trip home was a nightmare. The plane was cancelled as were the other planes for the same company for the rest of the day. The other companies were booked up and there were no trains home until later that night. There was 6 of us (then 7) who were stranded in Birmingham. We ended up hiring a 7 seater car which was rather "cosy" to say the least. I was in the very back seats with one of the other girls and we had very little leg space. It took us 7 hours to get home last night. Steven thankfully picked me up at the airport as we had to drop the car off there. Never been so happy to get home! Think the pups missed me as Robyn was grabbing my hand and wanting to play. Barney and Mia just wanted cuddles and of course Skye was straight on my legs last night.

Not doing a lot today as its my birthday. Went for a walk and then breakfast where we bumped into my sister in law who was picking the wee one up from dancing so got a birthday cuddle from Ellie Went out to get my birthday present but i have no idea what i want so will have a think about it.

Went out and done Robyns training she did ok, a few things we still need to work on but she will get there.

Take away from my favourite Indian restaurant tonight, watch the Hitlist (music quiz) then Strictly come dancing. Great night!! We could have went out for dinner but i want to stay in and relax!

Anyway, thats enough from me!! Have a lovely weekend ladies
